Bob O'Neil

We all called Bob "bitchew". I don't know how he got that nickname. I went through 12 years of school with Bob, at ST Rose and at GHS.  If he was your friend he was a friend for life.  Bob was a great friend. 

He was fast.  He played football at St Rose and Freshman ball at GHS. 

Bob, Johnny Charles, Jimmy Vesco, Buddy Dillon, Joe Aurilio, Billy Carney, Steve Stephanic, Wayne Miller and I hung out together. Bob was a daredevil and he was quite witty, always with a michieveous smile on his face.

According to Johnny Charles,  Bitchew was told he had lung cancer and treatment could only prolong his life, not cure him.  He told the doctors to give him pain killers to help with the pain and continued to work.  He worked up to the week before he died.

Bob, Johnny Charles and Jimmy Vesco all died of a form of cancer that started in their lungs.

You were a great and loyal friend Bitchew.  I will never forget you.   Louie Antonucci
